Over recent days we have had honeymooners from Italy and a couple of Kiwis from Gisborne.
The couple from Italy came to New Zealand because it was far far away and were keen to see nature at it’s best. They spent a day up the Coromandel exploring the great beaches whilst taking in the sights along the way and were impressed with Onemana and Opoutere - they had an afternoon out on the ocean doing the glass bottom boat trip around Mercury Bay.
The Kiwis chose Waihi Beach as they needed some time out after a hectic few days - their wedding was only a few days ago - some time to themselves was important. They spent a day going to Waihi and had a look at the Martha Gold mine and the Gold Discovery Centre and a rather lazy afternoon down at Anzac Bay relaxing under the trees.
The young Italians left us heading from Hobbiton and the Kiwis mentioned Waihi Beach as a spot they want to return to sooner rather than later!
