Honey boxes on both hives - now it's up to the bees

Posted by Greg Whyte on 15 November 2017

Rick our beekeeper has added a honey box to the newest hive so now its up to the bees to do what they do best - collecting honey and pollen .With summer not too far away,  so we are told.  it is time for the bees to be do what nature requires them to do - collecting and storing honey and pollen.

As bees will travel up to 2 kms for honey and pollen summer hopefully presents them with  fine weather and long sunny days that will allow them time to set about their gathering and storing.

This should mean honey for our guests, family and neighbours. Guests have been very interested in our efforts with our bees - many have taken the opportunity to try our local honey at breakfast with very positive comments.
